Advice We check model and height

Adapt your X-POLE to the correct height

Original X-POLE extensions allow you to modify the length of the assembly to install a compatible pole on ceilings of different heights.

They are manufactured in different lengths, diameters and finishes to maintain the visual and technical continuity of the pole.

Choosing the correct extension does not only depend on how many centimeters you want to add. You must also check the model, generation, diameter, finish, connection system and type of top mount.

Can't find your extension or is it out of stock?

VIVE POLE works with multiple original X-POLE sizes, finishes and configurations.

If an extension is not available in stock, you need a special size, or your installation exceeds the usual configuration, contact VIVE POLE before placing your order.

Tell us the pole model, diameter, finish, exact floor-to-ceiling height, and whether you use a standard dome, Home Mount, or ball mount. We will review the appropriate configuration.

A correct extension not only allows the pole to reach the ceiling: it allows the system to work within its proper range.

An incorrect configuration can leave too much adjuster exposed, prevent assembly, or cause incompatible parts to be combined.

What is an X-POLE extension?

Function

Modifies the length of the assembly

Allows adapting the pole to a higher ceiling or replacing a section with a more suitable one depending on the model.

Position

Installed in the upper section

On XPERT and XPERT PRO, extensions are placed above the B-Pole and before the insert or top mount.

Connection

Connects using X-JOINT

Current bottom-loading models use internal X-JOINTs to connect the different sections.

Finish

Must match the pole

We recommend choosing the same finish and diameter to maintain a uniform surface and correct compatibility.

Precision

Not chosen by approximation alone

A seemingly small difference can change the extension or the combination of parts you need.

Original

Official X-POLE replacement part

Designed to work with the connection system and tolerances of compatible X-POLE poles.

How to choose the correct extension

Check these details before selecting a variant.

1

Identify the exact model

Check if your pole is XPERT, XPERT PRO, X-STAGE, X-STAGE Lite, X-STAGE PRO, or another model. Not all extensions serve the same function in all systems.

2

Check the generation

This page mainly corresponds to X-POLE models after 2014 that use an X-JOINT connection system. Older models may require different extensions.

3

Select the diameter

The extension must match the compatible structural diameter of your pole: usually 40 or 45 mm depending on the model and finish.

4

Select the finish

Chrome, stainless steel, brass, Titanium Gold, Powder Coat, or silicone use specific references. Do not rely solely on the color in a photograph.

5

Measure the exact height

Measure from the finished floor to the finished ceiling at the exact point where you will install the pole.

6

Indicate which top mount you are using

The standard dome, Home Mount, and ball mount do not have the same length. The recommended extension may change.

How to correctly measure the height

The measurement must be precise. Do not use an approximate height indicated on the housing's blueprint.

From floor to ceiling

Measure vertically from the actual surface on which the base will rest to the actual surface where the top mount will rest or be fixed.

At the definitive point

Do not measure in another area of the room. Ceilings and floors may have small level differences.

Measure more than once

Repeat the measurement to confirm the data and avoid rounding several centimeters up or down.

Provide the exact result

To receive advice, provide the measurement in exact millimeters or centimeters, for example: 263.5 cm.

The height of the parts does not always match the minimum ceiling height

Official X-POLE tables differentiate between the physical length of the assembly and the minimum height required to safely install, adjust, and dismantle the pole.

For this reason, we do not recommend manually adding parts and buying an extension based solely on a mathematical calculation.

Use the table corresponding to your model or ask VIVE POLE to review the configuration.

Common X-POLE extension sizes

Exact availability depends on the model, diameter, finish, and generation. Not all lengths exist for all variants.

125 mm

Short extension commonly included in many XPERT and XPERT PRO kits. Usually uses a 180 mm X-JOINT.

250 mm

Extension commonly included in the standard kit and used for many home configurations.

500 mm

Frequent alternative for ceilings higher than the range covered by the extensions included with the pole.

750 mm

Designed for higher configurations. Always check the corresponding official table.

1000 mm

For high installations within the limits supported by the model. May require a specific technical configuration.

Special

Some references, measurements, or finishes are supplied upon request. Consult availability with VIVE POLE.

Attention with 100 mm extensions

The X-POLE 100 mm extension is a specific reference associated with certain SPORT poles and should not be used as a substitute for an XPERT or XPERT PRO extension.

Short 100 and 125 mm extensions require the compatible X-JOINT specified for that part, usually 180 mm.

If in doubt, send us a photo of the pole and its references before purchasing.

Technical Rule Whenever the configuration allows, use a long extension instead of combining two small extensions.

A simpler configuration reduces the number of connections and allows the adjuster to remain within an appropriate range.

Function changes depending on the X-POLE type

XPERT and XPERT PRO

Poles installed between floor and ceiling.

In these models, an additional extension usually allows reaching ceilings higher than the range covered by the standard configuration.

It is installed at the top of the assembly, above the B-Pole.

X-STAGE and X-STAGE Lite

Freestanding stages with a defined standard height.

On an X-STAGE, an alternative extension is not used to increase the total height of the stage.

It is used to replace a section and reduce the height when the ceiling is lower.

Home Mount

Low-profile fixed domestic mount.

By replacing the standard dome and insert, the usable length of the pole changes.

You must use the specific height table for XPERT or XPERT PRO with Home Mount.

Older models

Previous generations or top-loading.

Some old poles use threaded extensions and not the current X-JOINT system.

Do not buy a modern extension without first verifying the model and approximate year.

Important: an X-STAGE extension is used to lower the height

The poles of an X-STAGE, X-STAGE Lite, or X-STAGE PRO have an assembly height determined by their sections.

If you need to use the stage in a lower space, one of the sections is replaced by a shorter compatible extension.

Do not add an extension to the top of an X-STAGE to try to make it taller.

Tell us the stage model and available height to calculate which section you need.

Do I also need to buy an X-JOINT?

It depends on the chosen extension and the joints you already have.

The X-JOINT is not included with the extension

This listing corresponds to the outer extension section. The internal X-JOINT is sold separately.

If you already have the compatible X-JOINT within the original kit, you may not need to buy another one.

Each length requires a suitable joint

Very short extensions usually use a shorter joint, while long extensions typically use a longer X-JOINT.

Do not select the joint based solely on the outer diameter of the pole.

You may already have the extensions you need

Current XPERT and XPERT PRO kits usually include short extensions to cover the most common domestic heights.

Before ordering a new extension, check the contents of the box or the parts you still have. Many kits include a 125 mm extension, a 250 mm extension, and the corresponding X-JOINTs.

The composition may vary depending on the model, diameter, generation, or country of supply.

Extensions for a pole with Home Mount

The Home Mount replaces the top dome and uses a specific short insert. Therefore, the height configuration is not the same as with the standard dome.

A pole that fit correctly before installing the Home Mount may need another extension or a different combination.

Always use the official table corresponding to the specific model: XPERT with Home Mount or XPERT PRO with Home Mount.

You can consult our X-POLE Home Mount or ask us for help before placing your order.

Correct order of extensions

1

Base and A-Pole

The main lower section connects to the base and contains the adjustment system in current bottom-loading models.

2

B-Pole

Connects to the A-Pole using the corresponding X-JOINT.

3

Longest extension

When using multiple sections, extensions are placed at the top and in descending order of length.

4

Shorter extension

Short sections should be above long ones, not at the bottom of the pole.

5

Upper insert

The last section connects to the insert compatible with the dome or mount used.

6

Final review

Check that all X-JOINTS are correctly locked before tensioning and using the pole.

Do not compensate for an incorrect extension by over-extending the adjuster.

The bottom adjuster is for making the final adjustment and applying the correct pressure, not for replacing a missing extension.

The extension must be selected so that the adjuster operates within the range intended by X-POLE.

If, when installing the pole, you need to excessively extend the adjuster, stop assembly and review the height chart.

Frequently asked questions about X-POLE extensions

How do I know which X-POLE extension I need?

You need to know the model, generation, diameter, finish, exact ceiling height, and top mount used. With this information, you can consult the corresponding chart.

Can I choose it solely based on ceiling height?

No. Two different poles may require different configurations for the same height, especially if one uses a Home Mount.

Where is the extension installed?

On XPERT and XPERT PRO, it is installed at the top, above the B-Pole and before the insert or top mount.

Can I install the extension below the A-Pole?

No. It should not be placed between the base and the A-Pole or used to modify the lower structure of the assembly.

Can I use two small extensions?

Some configurations allow more than one section, but it is always preferable to use a long extension when an official equivalent configuration exists.

What extension is included with an XPERT PRO?

Current kits usually include 125 and 250 mm extensions, although it is advisable to check the exact composition of the purchased item.

Is the X-JOINT included with the extension?

No. Extensions are usually sold without an X-JOINT. You may already have the necessary joint in your pole kit.

Which X-JOINT do I need?

It depends on the diameter and length of the extension. Short 125 mm extensions usually use an 180 mm X-JOINT, while other sections use different joints.

Can I reuse an X-JOINT I already have?

Yes, as long as its diameter, length, and condition are compatible with the new configuration.

Is it compatible with XPERT?

Yes, for compatible generations after 2014 and by choosing the correct size, diameter, and finish.

Is it compatible with XPERT PRO?

Yes. Current XPERT PROs use extensions connected via X-JOINT.

Does it work for an X-STAGE?

Some models are compatible, but on an X-STAGE they are used to reduce the height, not to increase it.

Can I make my X-STAGE taller by adding an extension?

No. Sections should not be added to exceed the designed height of the stage.

Is it compatible with Home Mount?

The extension can be used in configurations with a Home Mount, but you must consult the specific chart because it changes the total height of the system.

Does the Home Mount always need an additional extension?

Not always. It depends on the height and the available parts. In some cases, the required extension changes, and in others, one of the included ones can be used.

Does it work for slanted ceilings?

The extension can be part of an installation with a ball mount for a slanted ceiling, but the configuration must be calculated using that specific mount.

Can I mix a Chrome extension with a stainless steel pole?

Dimensional compatibility may exist in some references, but we recommend using the same finish to maintain a uniform surface and an original configuration.

Can I use a 40 mm extension on a 45 mm pole?

No. You must choose the structural diameter compatible with your pole.

What about silicone poles?

The outer grip diameter may be different from the structural connection diameter. Consult VIVE POLE before choosing the variant.

Is it compatible with poles older than 2014?

It should not be assumed to be compatible. Many older poles use different extension and joint systems.

How do I know if my pole uses an X-JOINT?

Current bottom-loading poles, with the adjuster at the bottom, typically use an X-JOINT. Older models with top adjustment may use threaded extensions.

Can I use a Lupit Pole extension?

No. Extensions and joining systems are not interchangeable between manufacturers.

Can I cut an extension to adapt it?

No. Do not modify, cut, drill, or machine an X-POLE extension.

Can I compensate a few centimeters with the adjuster?

The adjuster only covers the final range specified by the chart. It should not be excessively extended to substitute an incorrect extension.

What is the maximum height an XPERT or XPERT PRO can reach?

It depends on the model and the current chart. Current configurations allow extensions for high ceilings within a specific maximum limit. Consult VIVE POLE for special heights.

What if my ceiling exceeds the maximum height?

Do not add extensions indefinitely. It may be necessary to use a COMP pole, a professional solution, or a specific installation designed for that height.

What information should I send to VIVE POLE?

Model, approximate year, diameter, finish, exact floor-to-ceiling height, top mount used, and photographs of the pole or its labels.

What happens if the extension I need is not in stock?

Contact VIVE POLE. We can review the item, confirm its availability with X-POLE, and provide an approximate lead time.

Can you help me with a special measurement?

Yes. For high ceilings, Home Mount, ball mount, professional installations, or unusual combinations, consult us before purchasing.

Not sure which extension to select?

Do not buy by approximation. Send us the model, diameter, finish, exact floor-to-ceiling height, and a photograph of the parts you already have. VIVE POLE will review the appropriate extension and X-JOINT with you.
